What REALLY matters in your life?

What REALLY matters in your life?

What would happen if you died of a heart attack five minutes from now? Hundreds of people die like that in the US everyday.  Many have no warning signs. Does that business meeting that is so important today seem so important now?

How important is your soul to you? When was the last time you actually thought about what would happen to it after you die? Are you to busy thinking about ‘important’ things like: what you will have for dinner or what Micheal Jackson left his mother in his will?

Does anyone know for sure where they will go when they die?  I do.  You can, too.

A common misconception about God is that he expects you to be perfect.  Far from the truth!  He created you a human being, not a robot.  He gave you a will and a choice of your very own.

Getting to heaven according to The Bible:

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:3

We all have sin in our hearts, even if we do not act on them.

-Admit you are a sinner.

For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23

Sin has an ending.  It results in death.  We all face physical death, which is the result of sin.  But a worse death is a spiritual death that alienates us from God, and this will last for all eternity.  The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever.  It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain for eternity.”

-Understand that you deserve death for your sin.

“…But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Salvation is a free gift from God to you!  You cannot earn this gift, but you must reach out and receive it.

-Ask God to forgive you and to save you.

God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!” Romans 5:8

When Jesus died on the cross, he paid sin’s penalty.  He paid the price for all sin!  He lived a perfect life, yet died a horrible death in our place so that we could have a way to heaven.  The only condition is that we believe Him and what He has done for us, understanding that after we accept Him, he will live inside us.

-God gave his earthly life for you to be in heaven.  His love is what saves you—not religion, or a church membership!

“Whosever will call on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved!” Romans 10:13

-Call out, anyone can have this gift of eternal life

“….If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10:9,10

“Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him…”

Let him in, you never know if he will knock again.
