Prayer for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

“Dear Heavenly Father,

_____________ feels overwhelmed with fear and anxiety. He/She is depressed and his/her mind is stressed.

Lord, you said you would provide for all of our needs and that means physical, mental and spiritual needs. We need you to cover all of _______________’s needs. Show him/her the areas that he/she needs to release into your hands. You are the only one capable of covering all of those things.

This circumstance that ___________ is in today is of no surprise to you. Take what satan meant for evil and use it to draw ___________ closer to you. As he/she relies on you for strength, send him/her the joy of you.

When he/she feels overwhelmed, lead him/her to the verses that __________________ needs to anchor himself/herself in. Send your presence when he/she speaks your word out loud.

In the name of your Son, Jesus, bind the demonic forces of stress, anxiety, depression and anger from ________________. Help him/her to give all these emotions to you. As he/she gives them to you, please replace them with a peace that passes all understanding.

Cover ________________ with your love, and comfort. Give him/her the understanding of who ______________ is in You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
